Manual for the Mitsubishi XD430U
Your projector is mounted upside down.
Some classrooms are equipped with different models, but most of the information below should apply.

It should never be removed, except by GCS Technology employees.

You should not try to change your own bulb.

Bulb life is an issue as the replacement bulbs for these projectors is over $200. Generally, we get approximately 2 years use. Please be sure to TURN OFF your projector when not in use. Even if the Windows icon is bouncing around a black screen, you are still using projector life. Do not put it on STANDBY. Power down to save bulb life.

Do not look directly into the lens light. It may cause eye damage.

Your projector is directly linked to the speaker system in your classroom by a navy blue cable, You should have one in the ceiling, as well as from your docking station to the wall near your laptop. These cables like to "walk" as one can use these to hook up their mp3, ipod, etc. to the sound system. Make sure yours doesn't walk away. They are expensive cables and we do not have replacements.

The remote control has a few features that you may use daily. Your projector should be showing only COMPUTER 1

Often, when you toggle between the red Elmo and your laptop, you will see a colored squiggle line at bottom of the screen. Click on AUTO-POSITION to correct the problem. The image will disappear, but come back corrected.

1. Turn on the device connected to the projector first (laptop or Elmo)
2. The power indicator lights up. If you turn off the projector, it may not come back on until the fan is finished cooling the case. Be patient. Wait for fans to stop and press POWER button to light the indicator.
3. Press the ON button to power on.
4 (not pictured) is on the projector itself. These are the focus and zoom features that you should not need to adjust.
5. Your projector should be set to COMPUTER 1.
